DIY Repurposed Curio Cabinet

“Repurposed for only $16”!!!

Here is an old cabinet that was given to our daughter for free that she gave to us. My husband and I repurposed it for only $16!! Here is how the curio cabinet looked before we repurposed it!

My husband painted it white with Valspar white cabinet paint.  Then we used Valspar’s antique glaze and we antiqued the cabinet. The only cost involved was for a sheet of white wainscoting that my husband cut to fit the back of the cabinet.

The Change Up!

It originally had a mirror in the back, but I preferred the wainscoting to tie in with the rest of our kitchen farmhouse style decor.

Use What You Got!

Then for the decor inside and on top, I used everything that I already had on hand. Most of the dishes were in cabinets where they weren’t being used as much because of space.

Great For Storage!

Not only do the dishes look good in this cabinet, all of them are out in the open and ready for use!

The Outcome is Amazing!

I absolutely love that this was almost nothing to do and that I utilized what we already had on hand to make this piece come together!

If you like it, would you mind sharing with a friend or pinning for later?!?!?! I would appreciate it SO MUCH!
