Decorating is my thing, especially for the holidays, and Easter happens to be one of my all time favorite holidays!
One of the things I love about decorating the most is doing it on a budget! I love to refurbish, repurpose or rearrange things to put in a new place to elevate it!
For my Easter decor this year I used mostly what I had on hand, items that came from Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and The Dollar Tree. I also used items passed down to me from my mom or gifts given to me by other loved ones.
Why I Love Easter
I love Easter for many reasons. The colors for one, all the pretty pastels.
Now coloring eggs I LOVE! It’s something passed down from my mom. She used to color easter eggs with my son throughout the year, a very cherished memory he holds near to his heart about her.
Easter takes me back to times being at my grandpa and grandmas house. With all of our cousins from my dads side of the family and hunting for eggs, all while we were still in our easter clothes fresh out of church.
Running around with chocolate on our faces from the candy that we snuck to eat before our dinner.
It also means spring time, greener grass, tulips and daffodils, and the pretty colors of flowers budding on the trees. Hearing and seeing all the birds, and peep frogs.
It’s All About The Savior
Above all of these wonderful things, Easter to me is a celebration of the greatest event that has ever happen in history. The Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Because He died for my sins and then arose from the grave and is alive and soon returning. I have new life and eternal life with him.
Just like springtime brings new life, it’s so fitting that we celebration the Resurrection of Jesus Christ this time of year and how it symbolizes new life and blessed hope we have in Him!
In my heart, my life, and my home I always want to reflect Christ, and somehow show His love through me. He took someone like me, a sinner full of mistakes and sin and He washed me and made me new.
I am so thankful for his love, and for giving me life! I am so blessed! I pray that if you’re reading this that you feel the Love of Jesus and know that He loved you just as much!
