Season’s Change
Summer is almost gone, Fall is fast approaching, and the kiddos are all settled back in school and with that,
Daily Life goes on….
Right on into the fall festivities, one of my favorite times of the year!
I love the fall colors, smells, decorations, and pumpkins! I will typically decorate for fall before September even gets here.
Fall also means it’s football season, my favorite sport. We will be cheering on our Denver Broncos.
Always carrying on a tradition that I started of “tailgating at home” for the games, which is a smorgasbord of food, and screaming at the TV.
Autumn Memories
I have many cherished memories to many to mention, but I look forward to making so many more memories now, and in the future.
I look forward to buying all the candies to fill the fall themed candy dishes I have, or that my mom passed on to me.
I have fond memories of her. Especially this time of year. She also passed down the love of fall to me. Her Birthday was in the Fall, so it was always enjoyable for me to buy fall themed birthday gifts and decorations for her.
I now have all of her fall decorations, as she is in Heaven enjoying all the most wondrous, unimaginable views the eye has ever seen.
Aspen Trees and Blue Skies
I hold onto the memories living in Colorado, and taking my son Joshua to the mountains. The view of the white bark on the aspen trees as they display their vibrant yellow color leaves.
We would walk through the aspen forest, which the view is beautiful in itself.
As we walked, we would stop and look up through the bright yellow leaves and white bark to see the bluest skies I have ever seen. Simply breathtaking!
Being in the mountains and their beauty, along with this view always made me feel God’s peace around me. It still fills me with awe struck wonder of His hands at work.
Grandma’s Homemade Jelly
Speaking of fond memories, one that stands out to me this time of the year is picking concord grapes off the vine in my Grandma Beers’ back yard. She used to make the best tasting grape jelly.
I have since learned her recipe from my aunt and I now make this delicious jelly, and carry on this family tradition.
Thanksgiving and Blessings
Fall also means Thanksgiving Day, the time of year that we take the time to reflect on what we are thankful for.
It brings families together, time honored traditions are held and new ones made.
As we enter this new season, I want to encourage everyone to make new memories. Spend time as a family, get out and try something different and new, or do things you use to find enjoyable.
Give your family memories that they will forever cherish.
I encourage you to put the phones down, turn off the tv, get away from the distraction. Be in the moment, because one day that will be all you have, is these moments in memories.
Make good memories, and lasting traditions. Live a loving, peaceful, giving, enjoyable, faith and hope filled daily life. Be thankful in all things.
Because seasons change and life goes on.
