This was the very first decoration that I did in our entryway of our home. It was right before Valentine’s Day of 2018! We have an old dresser that my husband painted white and antiqued that we have put in our entry way, and it’s the perfect place to do some seasonal decorating!
DIY Decor
When it comes to decorating, or remodeling I really am loving “doing it myself!” Finding an old piece of furniture, redoing it and making it new? If I see a decor that I like, and I know that I can do it myself it’s exciting to me!
Pintrest Inspired
Pinterest has become my new best friend! I have found so many good ideas on there! I always change it up and make it my own! Be it a recipe, a design, whatever I am into at the time! Nothing is more satisfying to me than to make it myself!
I came across this neat Valentine’s inspired decoration that I wanted to make! However, I wanted non-traditional Valentine colors! The decor needed be done in a way so that I could use it throughout the year! Also the color scheme needed to blend throughout the rest of our home!
So I went to Walmart and the Dollar Tree for all the materials needed. In the craft area at Walmart I found the white frosted wine bottles that already had the jute wrapped around the top. I also got the buttons, burlap flower and brooch in the craft section at Walmart.
The rope that I used to make the letter “e” I already had on hand. The white flowers I bought at the Dollar Tree. All I had to do was hot glue everything on and place the flowers in the bottles.
Just like that I have a simple but elegant Valentine’s Day inspired decor for our entry way! Or as you can see in the following photo this decor can be used anywhere, and for any occasion! It turned out so stinking cute!!!
If you like it, would you mind sharing with a friend or pinning for later?!?!?! I would appreciate it SO MUCH!
