Our farmhouse/industrial style DIY kitchen remodel! Here’s what we did… we added crown molding to the cabinets and then painted them white, using the Heirloom Traditions Paint called “Cashmere”.
My style is farmhouse with industrial touches as you can see. Some of the decor I bought on sale at Hobby Lobby, where as the rest of the decor is from things I already had on hand.
I purchased two stainless steel tables that we utilize as a kitchen counter extension and coffee/breakfast stations.
We added on into the garage space and built a large walk in pantry/laundry room combo.
Installed crown molding to the top of our cabinets to give the look of more height.
I highly recommend that you clean all the cabinets with a de-glosser like we did.
Then we primed, and painted the cabinets white, using the Heirloom Traditions Paint called “Cashmere”.
My husband installed a stainless steel farm style kitchen sink that can fit large pans, thats a huge plus!
We installed white subway tiles for our backsplash with gray grout. Painted the walls a light gray and then put up wainscoting in the dining room.
In our dining room we stained 2×12 shelves and hung them with metal brackets that my husband made, then we installed lights under the shelves.
The barn door slide was a $25.00 antique store find! We just had to clean it up , hang it and added decal to the window!
All the lighting was upgraded and we installed upper/under cabinet lights as well. Then installed new lights over the sit down breakfast bar, which my husband made using metal planters that I bought from Ikea.
We remodeled on a very tight budget and made our small kitchen look big and open! We have utilized so much of our space and our cute little kitchen now functions as a large kitchen for our large family!
I am so in love with my kitchen space!! 💗
